AskEve agony auntYou might want to try the "spoons" position where you lie on your side with your back to him and he enters you from behind. The main thing to remember though is to RELAXXXX.

A female reader, AskEve United Kingdom +, writes (17 May 2011):

AskEve agony auntSex CAN hurt the first few times you have it but as time goes on the pain should decrease. It could be that your hymen isn't properly broken but I think personally it's because you're not relaxed.

The average female vagina is about 3 inches long. However it is extremely elastic and can stretch to accommodate almost any penis. Because it's so stretchy, it's kind of hard to say and varies amongst women. Here is a good guide: Unaroused: 3-5 inches deep Aroused: 5-7 inches deep Stretched to the max: 8-10 inches deep.

The main thing is to RELAX. If you tense up, waiting for him to enter you then it will be more painful. Take your time during love making, make sure there's lots of foreplay too, this will make you much wetter and just relaxxxxx and enjoy it.

olderthandirt agony auntYou've heard the old adage,

" If it feels good, do it!" well the opposite is true if it doesn't feel good then don't do it. Pain and sex should be mutually exclusive terms. There should be nothing but pleasure in sex.

dmartin89 agony auntThe likelihood is that his penis is nudging your cervix which can be very uncomfortable.

How long have you been having sex for? Is this your first sexual partner? Has it always hurt when having sex?

It could be so many reasons, you cant single it out from just the info you have provided

A female reader, anonymous, writes (16 May 2011):

It does hurt to start with until the hymen breaks, at which time you may bleed. If it still hurts after that, yes, see your doctor.

adamantine agony auntIt could be possible that he hasn't completely broken your hymen.

The only way to know for sure is if you get it checked out by a doctor.
