The legality of sexual relationships in India is as follows:
a) If she is less than 16, then consensual or not, it is RAPE and you will get fucked if ever this comes up.
b) If she is over 16, consensual and she is currently not married to someone, relax, it is legal.
c) Police guys can harass you to socially shame you and may be extract some money, there is no law which can hold you back.
d) Live in relationships are now legally recognised.

It is not illegal to have sex outside of marriage in India and he, nor I, mentioned the religious or moral question about it all. If he had wanted to know that, my answer would have been different. Haven't you been to India? It's more "westernised" than you seem to think.

If yes, who needs to know? im sure you both know how to be discreet yes? this sort of thing is very common sweetee, in every country regardless of how strict they can be. It a natural human desire to have sex. so you are not the first. Just do if it feels right, but if you have hangups about it, well youre not going to having an enjoyable time are you? relax and enjoy. :)

Remember then that India in many ways is more primitive then say Iran. Although in both countries women have been put to death for for instance sex outside marriage, at least in Iran this is done by the legal system and the woman gets a trial and a lawyer to defend her.
In India women have been killed on the instructions of the local village council with no trial at all.
I, and I presume most people on this site, have no idea about the law in India but even more important, the local practices of the area you are in.
Some parts of india are fairly modern, others as said more primitive then the most repressive islamic regime.
Do not give legal advice from england to people living in a country where unwanted brides are set on fire.
