That was 4 months ago, and i haven't even been interested in getting involved with anyone since. That was until lastnight, when i got chatting to a girl, and we got on really well. For the first time, i was actually interested in someone and really wanted something to happen with her. That was until today when she said that she'd found out via her mum that we were related through our great grandparents. Obviously i'm gutted, so i would just like to know if this would be incest if we had a relationship?

Incest is when you are both members of the same family who have sex. You 2 are related in any way shae or form so why not enjoy a happy relationship with young lady.

In the UK first cousins are allowed to marry let alone second cousins. This is simply not incest in any way or form. If you get on well than go for it and ignore anybody who tries to tell you that this is any way wrong.

Hi there, since you are distantly related, it definatley would not be incest, that applies to close reatives, siblings, first cousin and parent child etc.
I think the incest rule also applies to the legal ide of things too, yuo cannot marry a close relation, but distant (this means anything more distant than second cousin) relations are legal.
So you are not breaking any codes or laws. Go ahed, if you click you click, go for it!
There is only one thing I will point out, which may never apply but I have to mention it. If you ever decide to have children together, be warned that being related may cause some complications in regard to sharing similar genes and causing some possable complicaions and birth defects. though the cahnces are only marginally higher than if you had a child with someone you are not related to, there is still the possability.
If yo did decide to have children I would suggest speaking to a genetacist or genetics councelor, you can speak to them free through the nhs.
Take care, enjoy life and good luck with your new found girl xxxx
