I Kept saying hes not I mean its not even a full year! But according to her and a couple of my other friends even a day younger makes them a toyboy. I think its aloud of $#*t! apathyslastkiss agony auntNo, he's not a boytoy for goodness sakes - you're the same age as him. The people who are saying this to you don't know what they're talking about. Boytoys/toyboys, are what much older women try to date in their late 40's and 50's - like when they try and bag a 20year old. This just doesn't apply to you.

Older men are sometimes also known for dating girls way younger than themselves, but the girls aren't called toygirls - I'm not sure what they're names are (sometimes gold-digger)

Bottom line, don't worry about it, don't listen to those other people. At your age, dating someone around the same age is a good idea. Take it slow and easy with him. I'm glad you guys have lots in common and enjoy time with each other - that's special. Good luck!

TasteofIndia agony auntSo he's what a year or two younger? When I was in 8th grade, I dater a 6th grader. Yes, I got mocked - and it didn't help that he was literally a foot and a half shorter than me (he ended up getting so tall. He's 6'3 now and dreamy.), but whatever. What we had was totally good and totally fun. People stopped making fun after a little while, but nobody ACTUALLY cared, they were just teasing.

So what if they call him your toyboy? Say, "yes, he is and I love him like crazy!!", and laugh it off. They're just jealous that you have a great boyfriend who probably treats you like a GODDESS (being the older woman has it's benefits).

tux agony aunt**Disclaimer** IF you love the person, age doesn't matter unless you are under 17 and the other person is over 18...;)

AS far as this case... Tell her to go stuff her piehole with sand. Actually, you don't have to tell her that, but I wouldn't listen to what she has to say about the subject. If you are happy with him, go for it.

xxbecksyxx agony auntPersonally, I don't think theres anything wrong with dating a boy younger than you. The guy I have my eye on is 6 months younger than me. My friend is dating a boy the year below her. My nan and grandad have been married for years and my nan is older than my grandad.

If you love the person, age doesn't matter.
