While there is absolutely nothing wrong with being in love with someone of the same gender, or even one who's older, even much older, it is not OK to try to have a relationship with someone who's married.
I suggest that, if you haven't already, try to get over her.

What possible positive outcome could their be by telling him or her?
Do band teachers not get any training about dealing with teens in America? We get an awful lot of problems with them getting too cuddly with their students.
