I like ginger hair so much I went from naturally light blonde to deep red over a year ago. I love that it's less common than other colours, I love the way it shines in the sun, i love how it contrasts with my eyes (they're very light blue)... What I dont love however is having to top it up every six weeks lol. I'd give anything to be a natural redhead!!!

A female reader, anonymous, writes (8 May 2008):

If boys tease you because of your ginger hair they need to grow up! I used to get teased about having red hair but consider it an asset. People will always find something to pick on, but to be honest do you want to associate with narrow minded people anyway. There are loads of sexy red heads out there - Gillian Anderson (of X-files fame) was once voted the sexist woman alive by a lad's magazine. I think the 'Ginger Ninja' (as he calls himself), Damian Lewis is very sexy. It is said that red heads make up only 3% of the world's population so we are a rare and exotic breed! And according to a poll, do you know what colour women most request when they have their hair coloured - you guessed it red!!!

tbh. its one of the only things i like about myself.

don't be put off by it,

&deffoo don't try the dies.

ginger hair is unique, if you ask me,

i think it attracts more men than it does any other.

A reader, anonymous, writes (8 May 2008):

Well I've got a good friend with ginger hair and I think it's lovely. She's never short of male attention! Boys will be more bothered about what you do with it and whether it looks a mess more than anything. So keep it nice and tidy (unless messy is more your style, but a tidy messy :]) and don't just let it go wild! But ginger can be gorgeous, so make sure you use it to it's full beauty.

A male reader, anonymous, writes (8 May 2008):

by ginger you mean red right?

and if so then no. i think that the color of your hair has nothing to do with how much guys do or dont like you(well some guys prefer a cretain color but...) i dont think it should dicourage you.....
