Don't worry about it. I have failed my driving test 6 times now. I was told today that I nearly passed and that my driving was of a very high standard. All I did was straddle a lane on a roundabout because I didnt know where I was going. Anyway, I am going to put in again for it as life is too short and its something I really want to do and want to do it before I have a family. What I would say to anyone that is reading this, if you really want to do it and get through it, you just need to persevere. Its all about luck on the day. Don't listen to what people say as people that drive nowadays have no idea how hard it is and lets face it, the ones that cut us off and dont indicate, whoever taught them to drive should he ashamed because there are some nightmares on the road. If it takes 10 or 11 times to pass so be it but you've got to want to do it.

BehindThese HazelEyes agony auntDont feel bad about it. It took me 2 times to pass the written and the maneuverability(sp?). I failed the first time because as I was backing up I hit the same cone 3 times, I was a nervous wreck! lol. The second time tho, i went the morning of the test and practiced some beforehand and then I took the test not as nervous as before. I almost hit the same cone again but I stopped and corrected myself, all they did was take 5 points off. As for the road test, I did ok except for making a left turn too sharp. After youve been driving awhile, youll wonder why you didnt do it sooner, I did. lol. Now I love driving! and dont feel bad either, it took me until I was 19 to finally get my license! Youll be fine! Good Luck!

I did mine in the heavy rain and passed. So you can do it! Stop sitting there beating yourself up, look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you can do it. Focus! If you're not focused, you won't get there. Eyes on the road, or on the mirror. Take deep breaths when you're doing it. You'll be fine.

You need to practise more, get someone to go out with you and really practise driving around. Get comfortable behind the wheel and then just go for it. remember dont think of it as a test, just a good drive.

I can tell you a funny story that happened to me when I sat the written exam in Australia. I passed first go, but before the instructor read the result he had started consoling me. The usual better luck next time and all that and then looked at the screen. His face went red and everyone in the room laughed.

best of luck for next time

PeanutButter agony auntYou know that less than 50% of people pass their driving test the first time they take it in the UK?

I was told that I wouldn't pass but I needed the car desperately for university so I took the test anyway and passed by the skin of my teeth - my leg was shaking half of the test and I thought I'd failed but I made it.

You might have failed this one time, but it really doesn't matter, you had a major fault but the fault is actually one of the better ones you could have had because it is an easy one to correct by just trying to relax a little and get some extra driving in and around the area you took your test and learn/remember the speed for the roads you're on and grab your next test by the horns and pass that SOB!

My friend took her test 4 times before she passed! The time she passed she was having a really bad day and stormed out of the house to take the test not caring if she passed or failed and passed there and then!!!

You'll be absolutely fine, it IS a shame, but it isn't a complete disaster!! Re-book it as soon as you feel ready and try again!! Get back on that horse. You'll be fine!!

If anything, first time passers don't always make the best drivers! I've had 3 accidents since i passed!!!

Good luck and chin up hun xx
