Are you scared because it is your first kiss and you don't know what to expect?
If so then I think most of us have been there. I was 15 when I had my first kiss and I was so nervous I was shaking. It's not nearly as scary the second time and even less so the third time. After a few kisses you won't even remember what was so scary.
But that doesn't mean you have to do it now, or it has to be him. If you don't think you're ready, then talk to him and wait until you do feel ready. It sounds like he is a nice guy though and seems willing to wait so I'm sure he'll understand.

 Why are you so scared? I can understand that it is all new to you and off course you are nervous, I remember clearly how I felt my first kiss, but believe me it just happens naturally and you will love it so just go with it.

 Well the first and obvious question would be,Why you don't want to be kissed? Okay,now I assume you have the answer in mind.Then,you should tell him your mixed feelings about kissing.It's not right to keep making up excuses to avoid being kissed by him,that's why you need to tell him that.
And if in the near future you may decide to go ahead with the kiss,here are a few tips for you.For someone around your age I'll recommend a peck on the lips.So you simply close your eyes and lean in and give a simple kiss.No need to get in all the action with hands and you'll body.

 Dont worry we all go through this stage when we're young I went through it and do will every one else just take it as it comes if your both happy with it go with the flow. But don't let anyone force you into something you do no want to do. It happens when YOUR ready.
