I was cleaning my desk and putting the stuff on the places that they should be quickly to go because I had a doctor appointment. I was already late so I was trying to do not miss my appointment but I really wasn’t rushing obviously. My manager was staying close to my desk and was taking to someone, she is very nice person and actually all of them that I work with, as I said good bye she said don’t rush too much while she was smiling may be it is not important but I got uncomfortable and still thinking about it. I didn’t say anything just smiled and left. Now I’m thinking maybe she was teasing I don’t know. I’m not familiar with the culture here so maybe it wasn’t even what I am thinking. What do you think. By the way I’m in the USA

Just a bit of sarcasm and teasing. She was being friendly. Don't read too much into it.

You are still in your adjustment period in terms of getting along with people in a new culture and environment different from your own. Don't take things seriously. All good and bad things happening to you during your adjustment period are part of your experiences as you mingle with the new culture and society other than what you get used to.After sometime, you will be able to adapt yourself to the environment, read body language, and understand other verbal and non-verbal communication cues. Just be patient, you will be able to get along with them after sometime.

I agree. It was a little bit of teasing. Also, she saw that you were in a hurry and perhaps wanted to be sure you didn't drive like a crazy person and get in a car wreck. I would count this as nice behavior toward you rather than mean behavior.

Yes, that was a joke. Sarcasm can be difficult to pick up on when you're not familiar with it.
