A male United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I have recently split up with girl of 3 months a couple of weeks ago - it ended on a really stupid note, basically a couple of arguments that got out of hand. I'm having trouble deciding whether she still likes me or not though - the only contact i have with her is when i go and see my friend who lives opposite her and she always makes a point of either coming over when im there or as soon as i pull up outside she'll hang out of her window "on the phone" - i'm desperate to get her back but don't know how to play it, i told her yesterday via email that i was gutted etc and got a very short reply back so i'm wondering whether to just act cool and keep my distance or use another method.??

bambi1980 agony auntI would suggest you confront her about it. Make a bold romantic gesture and bite the bullet. What can you lose. If she doesn't want to know then I'm sure she'll stop turning up at your friends house to save you both from embarrassment. Good luck!

Jayney Y agony auntUmm, did you do something that pissed her off? If she wasn't interested she wouldn't be visiting your friend when your car's outside, or hanging out the window with her 'phone glued to her ear pretending to be busy with her social life. I would be asking yourself whether the arguments might have been your fault? You did the right thing by emailing her and telling her the truth about how you feel, but if you did something that started arguments, maybe you need to think about whether the two of you can reach an agreement on whatever it was, or whether you should just give each other a miss. Good luck, :)
