tired82 agony auntAre you involved in sports? Many times young girls who are athletes miss periods due to excess workout to the body. Also because of the stress brought on by the competitions, practices, etc.

bethevans agony auntright well, babe i really wouldn't worry, usually if you have started your period before .. it can just stop .. and then come back to you. I started my period in year 6 at my leavers disco.. (embarising) .. and then i had it for about 4 months.. then it stopped and started again a year later... if you're still worried .. do you hve a close relative or an older sister you can talk to ? maybe even a teacher x

A male reader, ArmyMedic United Kingdom +, writes (20 March 2009):

ArmyMedic agony auntThis is probably just you hormones developing and sorting themselves out.

But when you say you are a "Virgin" I take it you mean you have done NOTHING sexual with a boy? If you have had any contact with sperm near your vagina you could be pregnant.

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (20 March 2009):

It could be just your age, but it could also be a health problem.

It could be a symptom that you are not developing right if things have come to a stop. Are you very underweight or anything?

Just ask your mum if you can talk to her about a girl problem, then start with "you know I've never done anything with a boy - BUT...."

It's not embarrassing, we girls all have these problems, it's just a sign you are a woman now.

Good Luck!! xx

A female reader, Honeygirl South Africa +, writes (20 March 2009):

Honeygirl agony auntYou need to relax and stop worrying. Your body is still adjusting to all those hormones that it is producing. Really, there is nothing to worry about. As you mature, so your hormones will become more stable and your periods will become more regular.

i dont know much on this subject but i know that somtime girls miss their periods for seemingly no reason

i would say just talk to your mom about it and tell her you havent slept with anyone yet and you dont plan to anytime soon and you really dont know what it means

i hope everything turns out good
