the therapy I did was to redirect my sexual orientation I bet that Dr. was thinking that he is saving my life when i used to pay hundreds and hundreds just to be told that If I dont change that I'll go to hell...

I dont think that asylum is an option....I do have the money to run away and start a new life but I'll be on my own...........do you guys think its worth the risk or i should be in the closet for ever.........I'm so confuse and sad here but on the other hand I'm so afraid to leave.

AuntyAlexxmo agony auntThe other people are right it isnt just as easy as running away but asylum was set up for reasons and this is one of them, you need to find the britsh embassy in your country and apply for asylum, use the net to search for information on help on doing with and maybe support groups or charities

You will have a much better quality of life if you are living somewhere where you are allowed to be homosexual. I would leave as soon as possible and start a new life. Good luck xx

A female reader, CindyCares Italy +, writes (15 February 2011):

CindyCares agony aunt What do you mean , that where you live they have " strict rules to kill homosexual people "?

There are only 7 countries in the world where there 's death sentence for homosexuality , and none of them is a place where you could get sex therapy- or therapy at all, most probably - so yours won't be among them.

There are anyway many more countries where a lesbian can be socially ostracized, denied work , serve time in jail ,...or risk a good beating .In this case, sure, if you have the practical and financial means to emigrate, you should. At your age , you are young, but an adult anyway , with the right /duty to build for yourself the best future you can have.

Leave the Middle east and move to a place where you can explore yourself and your feelings and then decide what to do...

justjess agony auntIt's as simple as just 'running away'. You'd have get a visa or claim asylum, this isn't a quick sort of thing (at least I don't think it is). But you cannot stay in a place where they would kill you just for been who you are!
