Try online dating sites. I know it sounds stupid and cliche, but that's why they're there. I'm 20 and have never had a boyfriend, and only once been on a real 'date' with my girlfriend. I don't know if I'll ever have a boyfriend, really. Girls are just much better(my opinion, dear, don't listen to me :p).
I had the same problems you do, only in high school. Talking with people online helped me overcome my shyness, and it's easier to talk to people when you're not face-to-face. I'd really advise giving online Messenger sites like Yahoo (it's free) a try, or even trying eHarmony or those other dating sites, if you want. :3 Good luck to you!

 You sound like a very shy person. You know, things don't happen in life unless you dare to make them happen. So, the first thing you need to do is to make a conscious decision to change your life. It won't get you a boyfriend right away, but that's not the end of the world. Over time, it will happen.
I have a friend who I met when I was five. That was... some time ago. She's always been very overweight and not exactly pretty, though her green eyes are lovely. Well, she's had her adventures, and that is because of one quality she has had since childhood: she believes in herself, and that oozes through her skin.
