Hello,
I agree with sugar_sugar somewhat.
There are scientific and biological things you may not know. And don't take this a insulting your intelligence, please. Every body is different. Chemical reactions fire differently. Body's are grown differently. The vagina is different for every girl. What you should do (don't take this as being lude or gross) find a sex toy store. Go in, or a friend, and buy a small vibrating dildo. The reason I suggest this is because you will accomplishing two things with this experiment.
1) Whether you require clitoral, G-spot, or a combination of both stimulation's for great intercourse.
2) And you will be working your way to real penetration, in a way, making you "looser". But to tell you the truth, all this is doing is making you more comfortable with the idea of sex. Or love making.
Experiment with your new toy, privately stimulate yourself, learn what turns you on. This will make you comfortable, hence making you more relaxed, hence making penetration easier.
The part that I agree with sugar_sugar on is lube. It's completely ok to use lube. That's probably why two fingers hurt, or felt uncomfortable, was because when he inserted his other finger it was still dry. Pulling on the vaginal walls, making it painful.
Like I said before, this wasn't meant to be crude or lude. Try my advice, let me know if you're taking it to heart, and let me know the outcome.
Good luck!

Even an erect penis has a good deal of flexible skin around it, the sensation is different. What happens when you try to use one finger on yourself? Two? Odds are good that this doesn't hurt. I think that guys, especailly young and entergetic (horny) ones can hurt a girl as they're so excited they forget to be gental.
Relax and practice on yourself... but no need to try to loosen up -that's natural.

Even after years of sex I still find two fingers uncomfortable, but enjoy sex. It's a different feeling, and while your first time will probably hurt if you're relaxed and lubed up it will be manageable. Don't try make yourself looser, you'll be fine.
