If my boyfriend has never gotten a girl pregnant throughout his years of using the pull out method, is it safe to say that perhaps he's just one of those that doesn't release pre-cum during intercourse? Using a condom lessens the sensation (since you have a layer of latex in the way). But a thin condom makes almost no difference. FYI condoms can be good for men who come too fast because of this.
You should ALWAYS use a condom with a new sexual partner in case of STDs. However, once you are in a steady relationship there are other options. The pill of course, plus IUDs can work very well (and not mess with your hormones).

Total nonsense. All guys are the same with this. All men have some amount of pre-ejaculate. He's just been lucky. And really really stupid. DO NOT USE THE PULL-OUT METHOD! It's not contraception at all.
Please use contraception. Otherwise you run a really high risk of getting pregnant. Remember its you thats going to be stuck either with a child much too soon, or in a doctors with your legs in stirrups. Your boyfriend will be fine either way. The contraception is for YOU. Don't let him convince you into not using any... its manipulative, selfish (of him), and dangerous for you.

Not at all. Do not assume that he won't get you pregnant. Until now, your boyfriend has only been lucky. Make sex safe and worry free for you and use birth control. Never assume you won't get pregnant. Don't take that chance!
Good luck, sweetness!

The pull out method is not 100% full proof!!It is just that he has been lucky this far.If he tries once too often ,his risk becomes greater.

nope just means he hasn't gotten anyone pregnant

A
reader, anonymous, writes (21 January 2008): Absolutely not. Pre-ejaculate is almost always pregnant, and the pull out method works only about 70-80% of the time. That's not very effective, now is it? :( I'd start the pill or use condoms (especially if you two haven't gotten check out for STDs and HIV yet). Be safe!
