But the general idea here, for future knowledge:
Clean him up before hand. Ask him about his diet, there are things you can eat and avoid eating to change the taste of the spunk.
But the easiest thing to do, is to have him wash up first out of courtesy. It can smell pretty bad after a whole day in boxers and tight jeans... a clean up is definitely in order. For girls as well. Just splash some water there for the girls though, no soap. But guys can clean up properly.
That will remove the smell. Then use a thin condom to avoid having to taste him. You could also buy condoms in flavours if the regular condom taste is too horrible. Or you can avoid licking the head and just do the shaft, and use your fingers on the head instead.
I once had a boyfriend with hepatitis B, and before I got vaccinated (which took 9 months) I'd use condoms for blowjobs (didn't want the STD of course). Condoms don't taste good at all to me, but perhaps to you it will be better than the taste of penis.

 It may help slightly if he drinks fruit juices often but if you don't like the taste of the cum then don't take it in your mouth. As for the penis he may need to shower or just wash before hand. I know that my gf has told me that even a few hours at work it will taste bad just from being stuffed up in the pants and a bit of sweating. Also if there is excess hair it might help if it was trimmed but overall it should taste fine as long as it's cleaned not too long before anything is going to happen.

If it's something simple like this, don't give up! Just suggest in a flirty way that you guys take a shower together and then try going down on him afterward when he's nice and clean.
If basic cleanliness isn't a problem, you could try putting a flavored condom on him, chewing gum beforehand (probably cinnamon would be best since it kinda numbs the tongue a little), or using flavored lube.
I'm concerned that you're so young, though, and maybe that could be part of the reason why it's gross to you? Sometimes we don't enjoy things because we're not ready for them, maturity wise or emotionally. Could this be a problem?

 ok umm well im not going to judge how young you are because thats not what you are asking. ok well you say he really likes head right? maybe try sucking a minty or something while you do it? umm keep a glass of water or juice by the bed so you can have a drink as soon as he finishes? not everyone likes the taste of the male private parts so dont feel alone in this subject. just think of some nice flavoured things you can put in your mouth while it happens. or maybe just explain to him that you would prefer not to give him head? give him a handy instead?
