Might not be so healthy, but working out means you gain muscle, and muscle weights more than fat, plus I've heard that its typical to gain weight before you loose it when you start working out. Also in order to work out healthily you have to eat calories and protein in order to build up muscle, and it can actually take you ages before you loose weight. Starving yourself sounds dangerous and close to anorectic, but if you have a high BMI then eating less is not dangerous. Continue to eat, but less, and cut out all the sugar and sodas. I lived in a country once where all the girls were thin as sticks, and they never worked out. What they did was eat very little.

The only true way to do it healthily is to exercise. Go jogging, or go to a gym. Maybe go with a friend or something, just to keep company. After, you just have to watch what you eat, and continue to exercise. You could also talk to your doctor, who might be able to suggest some ideas to you.

The low calorie diet is a good one. Count ur calories. Try eating 1200 - 1300 calories a day. Excersie 3 - 5 day a week. For 30 - 60 minutes a day. A lot of cardio. See if that works. It works for me
