I sing to my pets all the time, but this is the first human... song ideas in SPanish or English (for someone who speaks Spanish and some English)? It means so much to me! Thanks guys! We sang it in choir when I was a kid, and I loved Latin stuff even then. @Aunt Honesty:Oh yeah, I've wanted to write a song for him for a long time (I play the guitar). I think that's the way to reveal my feelings.@ anon: I remember ''Flying Dreams!'' I have always loved the rats of NIMH. I'm far from my mom now and the song always reminds me of mom... who in turn reminds me of the mouse from the rats of NIMH.You know, I really love country music (I play guitar in a blues band but I listen mostly to country music)... I'm from USA and my first language is English, and I always loved country music. In spite of that I love Latin stuff and find the music here to be romantic. He's from here, his first language is Spanish. Haha, I looked at the link from ''Cross my Heart'' and a couple from Mexico posted about how much they love country. I'm NOT the only redneck in Mexico after all... yay! I LOVE country music. I'm just not sure if I'm ready to tell him ''I love you'' but then I worry that if I wait too long it will be too late. I'm scared but I have learned that you have to risk things. Thanks guys :)

IMO, you can't go wrong with anything by John Mayer.
I also like Teddy Geiger's "For You I Will".

Well if your main goal is to essentially send this person to sleep. You will need a very queit and smooth song i should imagine. So why don't you look up some lullabys on youtube? I will send you a few that i know of, they might not be to your taste but i find songs which are rather haunting to be nice. Anyway i can only send you some English ones as i don't know any in spanish.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sn6Tol70BjU ( Basically a sweet little lullaby).Mod Note: the next one had an Ampersand between the "pEE" and "feature)not a star. So please put in the Ampersand and remove the * below to play this one (it's a technical issue folks - not the fault of Almighty Duck :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DChHEf0lpEE*feature=related ( A nice slow romantic song).http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EAyEWjnn6U ( Beautiful sweet song, rather easy rythem to sing too).Hope you like. :) And good luckP.s the songs are if the lyrics don't work...Hushaby Mountain- Stacey KentWherever You Will Go- Charlene SoraiaYour Song- Ellie Goulding.

It can be from a favorite artist, oldies, movie, maybe even a childhood movie that one or both of you grew up with. I sing "Flying Dreams" from Secret of NIMH to my best friend's son on nights when I watch him. My ex and I used to sing "Into the West" by Annie Lennox from Lord of the Rings. Keep in mind what genre, too. We loved celtic and folk music, so Into the West was perfect. As was "Until We Meet Again" by Barrage (youtube it) :)

Research songs on line that you feel you can connect with and it speaks your feelings to that person. Only you know how you feel, and only you know what songs will touch you and which wont. You could always try writing your own lyrics if you feel you have got it in you. but my suggestion is to just look up lyrics on the internet and chose a song that you feel suits the moment. Good luck.
