You're gonna still have feelings for your teacher (heck I still do) because most likely you have been through a lot with each other like studying, chatting, stressing, etc. Same reason why some people fall in love with their therapists. Keep it platonic, you can still have affection but be realistic.

Don't go for it. He is a teacher, you are a student. Just, don't. I really liked my teacher and I was convinced that we were going to run away together. What happened was that I met someone, moved on but continued to idolise my teacher. I suggest you try to meet someone else, enjoy the crush while it lasts and at least work in that class which will make him appreciate you.
