Hey
I had to chime in on this one...
I used to love MJ...and my so called "friends" used to tease me so much about they brought me to tears a few times over it...
but now that I'm older I'm known for being unique and marching to my own beat...so you see...you may be teased now but they will eventually envy you the guts to do and like what you like...
As it is now I still listen to MJ, but my tastes have brodened to Prince, Darren Hayes, Tori Amos...
We can't all be the same...and I still have all my MJ memorobilia as well... :)
Don't let them try to fit you into this mold, we're all different for a reason! enjoy it
:)

I luv michael jackson tooo
And yes i fort he was quite good looking until he had all that surgery! Darling, you can like whoever you wanna like, just don't listen to anyone if they say nasty stuff!
When ever i hear 'You rock my world' by michael jackson, i juat HAVE to dance, when it was first out i even remember making up a dance to it! and i used to know all the dance steps to 'beat it'
Anyway Michael Jackson is a legend and these people saying stuff know he is, but just don't want to admit it!

If you like the bloke then that's fine and is all that really matters.BTW - Cliff Richard doesn't have a criminal record, he's had dozens of 'em, just like Barry Manilow!Phil

His music is powerful, honest and personnal to him and we are lucky to experience music like this. I think it sounds like those around you are very closed minded. I have a very wide range of taste in music, I like all sorts reguardless of what group it comes under or who it is by.
Keep listening, enjoying and feeling the music because thats what its all about.

Hi anonymous,
Dude! You're normal...and your mates/sister seem to be acting like jerks. My favorite styles of music are japanese electro pop, reggaeton and noise. Odd combination, I'll admit ^_^ , but none of my friends hassle me about it!
Next time I'd tell them that you dont necessarily like the music that they're into either, but everyone's entitled to enjoy whatever music they're into - and then ask them why they keep pestering you about the fact that you like Michael Jackson. You grew up with listening to his music (I still listen to Thriller very frequently myself. lol) I'm sure that everytime they bring it up, nothing new is said anyhow. What the point in dragging up a stale topic? It's time for them to move on. In the meantime, try not to let it get to you. You could always try ignoring them - nobody likes talking to a brick wall.
Take care. ^_^

Look, hunni,i am a fan of Micheal Jackson, and i dont let other ppl question my music tastes. I also like Rihanna, slipknot, evanescence, ali g and a whole range of other artists. I think it important for ppl to have a wide variety of music in their lives. and, lets face it, despite recent alligations, michael was a fantastic dancer and a brilliant signer.
all the best

I like 'The Calling' they are so good :), but when I was in primary school people used to call me for it - but I didn't care I like them! It's nice that music can make you happy.

Any time she would hear or see anything about him she would be gushing with excitment and engery!!!
Everyone has their own individual likes and dislikes in life - its what makes us different from everyone else!! The world would be a very boring place if everyone followed the same team, listened to the same music and watched the same movies!!!
I used to get a hard time of it in school for playing soccer & supporting certain teams! Some girls called me a lesbian/transexual etc because of it but I still play or rather try to play and still enjoy it to this day!!
Don't give up what you like and enjoy cos others don't like it and it doesnt fit in with their likes/dislikes!!!
Good luck :)
