it's online .. no one is upfront about who they are.. so what i think he means is that he is disappointed in you but he isn't anyone close ( aka just online friend) so he is not sure if he has the right to be disappointed in you. but just ask him cos it really is very vague.. for the sake of not appearing stupid and drawing your own conclusions ask him.. if he doesn't answer then ask him if he meant it the way i've said and see what he says..

I think it's hard to understand people when they don't explain themselves properly. So why don't you ask him what exactly he means?
Or don't bother with him, you lied to him about your photo, Im guessing this was online and that you don't really know the guy well. So why care so much? Life is too short to get all worried about what some stranger online thinks of you.
