I haven't dated in awhile because it feels wrong dating someone I don't like while I like someone else And these dreams have also made me pretty sad and everytime I dream about him I feel alittle gloomy the whole day I hope this makes sense and was not to long

I had similar things happen with an ex. I had been single for a while and she started creeping back into my thoughts and dreams. It started to bug me so I sat back and thought about it. I realized it was a closure issue. I broke it off with her, but she was a very domineering person. I had to cut all ties. We broke up, and she tried to get me back multiple time. I actually had friends hide me a few times because she was out looking for me. God she was evil, but I won't get into those details.
Anyway, once I realized this, it helped. What also helped was bumping into her one day. I hadn't planned it, it just happened. We had a good talk. It had been a few years since our breakup and we were both in completely different places in our lives. That allowed me to get the closure I needed. It opened up the door to her wanting to get back with me though, so I had to stamp that out real fast.

I understand how u feel I had similar experiences with a girl I kno. they say a dream is a wish from the heart whether it's because you need closure or maybe there's another chance for you him to be together again.
Maybe u should try contacting him again if it's what you truely want this could be the only way to stop the dreams. I hope this helps
