"So acording to the scientific definition if a woman licks 40 penises, sucks 30 penises and takes another 20 penises in the ass, she is still a virgin!?"
Yes, she is technically still a virgin because a penis has not entered her vagina. She may not be thought of "spiritually" or mentally as a virgin, but she is is physically and scientifically a virgin.
I didnt think there would be so much contraversy here. As to me its obvious what causes a virgin to not become a virgin.
I guess it depends on your defenition of a virgin. I am medically trained so to me there is only one answer.

Yes, scientifically she would still be a virgin. Funny isn't it? I believe the term "virginity" was made before people started having sex in every orifice. Originally though, staying a virgin until marriage is the only thing that works against spreading STD's and having children outside of marriage, which was/is a sin. Having anal, oral, etc, doesn't make you preggers, thus the "virginity" is still intact, because you haven't put yourself at the risk of pregnancy.
However you have put yourself at risk for STD's, which is the other logical reason to stay a virgin. So if possible, a new term for half-virgins should be made?

Anonymous; does that mean when you lose your virginity when a man gives a women head? Or when a woman licks a mans penis?Losing your virginity is when a penis penetrates the vagina. The hymen may already be broken, it may break on penetration, or it may not break on penetration (which happens,it just stretches). You may all have your stand point and opinion on what "losing virginity" is. But the scientific and ACTUAL definition of losing virginity is when a penis enters a vagina that has has never been penetrated by a penis before. It is when a penis penetrates a vagina for the first time.

Hi Babe. I think that most folk would agree that it really doesn't matter that much 'what-went-where' whether vaginal, anal, or oral. Its much more how close and intimate you've been with a person that decides. Its a state of mind too, not a huge deal, just how you think of yourself xxx

I wouldn't call you a virgin as such, because you have had sex. But then again, virgin is a word used to describe whether or not a person has had intercourse. That mean a penis in your vagina. So by that term you are still a virgin. And it will hurt when the man puts his penis inside of your vagina for the first time too. But you are not "virgin-like" since you have had sex...!
Tell people what you choose to, but be honest with whatever boyfriend you get, once you get a bit serious.

No, not by my definition of the term "Virgin". A virgin is someone untouched sexually, in any form. If you've been penetrated by a penis oraly, anally or vaginally I wouldn't consider you virginal any longer. It's all sex when shared with a partner. The only exclusion under my own definition would be solo sex.

Physically and by religious standards, yes. Most people use the definition of having a penis in a vagina as losing virginity. But like it was stated several times, virginity is more a state of mind than anything else and most people would regard anal sex is even more "extreme" than regular sex. So if you told someone you were a virgin and then said you've had anal sex, they'd probably not see the difference. Virginity is kind of a weird concept anyways, is it that important to define yourself as virgin or not?

A
reader, anonymous, writes (10 April 2011): you're not a virgin, you had penetrative sex. I actually myself felt very much like I'd lost my virginity the first time I did anything more sexual than kissing even though we didn't have actual genital to genital contact, but I guess that doesn't count as ACTUAL sex but its still in itself a form of sex :/ its got sex in the name (oral sex/anal sex) because yes, it does still count.Do you feel like you lost your virginity?? If not I guess it's because before you do it you build it up and build it up then when it actually happens, rarely are mountains moved the first time so its a bit like, did that really just happen?

Technically yes, but would anybody take you seriously if you said you were a virgin... probably not. Virginity is a symbol of purity and an unbroken hymen has been used as evidence of a sexually untouched woman for hundreds if not thousands of years. Since you've had sex and been penetrated by a penis- in my books there's no way I'd consider you a virgin... but by medieval standards, you technically are in that it can't be proved that you've already had sex...Interesting question though, be interesting to see what other people have to say.

I've discussed this before. As far as I'm concerned if a you are having sex in any form you are not a virgin in the psychological sense. You still have an intact hymen in the biological sense thus Virgin.I refer to virgins having sex as Virginettes. Other than that you may just be a troll. If not, study up on sex ed and anatomy, you should be well versed in these fields before continuing any further.
