A male United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I feel confused by my land lord. Shes 64 years old and not married. I'm 36 years old. I feel something for her; she likes it when I buy her gifts sometimes she lets me kiss her on her lips but that's it, nothing more. I feel I want more than that. I have told her that, but she just ignored me. Should I move out and find another room to rent? I have already told her how I feel about her. I don't know what she wants or maybe she just wants to play with me???

Hey, some flirting is never a bad thing and adds some spice to life... but it doesn't mean you have to act on it. The age difference is no big deal honestly, if two people dig each other, so what?

Meanwhile, I like a guy who's 10 years younger, but the immaturity and such are something I can't deal with so there an age difference does matter... keep us posted as to what happens :)

GRIFF TANNEN agony auntI agree with Trance, bring the younger ladies home and try to keep it civil with the land lady, or you might run into uncomfortable problems. Try for women about 10 to 15 years older than you, I guess you like older women right?. A women of 64 is really from a different generation pal, not to mention that she might see you more as a grandson!

As for the anon Aussie below, I really doubt that she'll knock anything off the rent mate :-) but I guess ya never know hey...

Ignoring isnt good man... thats usually a polite sign to back off. A passive one, but still a sign. Don't move... just start bringin younger ladies home man and keep a civil relationship with her.

if your both single ask her out and have fun both of you

usually this sort of relations only last for a few years because after a while you would want to have kids and that she cant offer, but aslong as you like her follow your heart

Good Luck

I don't know about a relationship but I bet you can get her to knock something off your rent.

GeeGee255 agony auntI don't know if I would move, but I think I would stop hitting on the Land Lady. Because I hate to say it, but it makes you look pretty desperate when someone 28 years older than yourself doesn't even take you seriously. Please have some pride and find a nice girl your own age.

I don't know if you should try or anything--it sounds like she's rejected you, and that's her answer. If so you need to respect her wishes and leave her alone, whether you need to move or not. But always remember, you can live to be 100, but you can still be young at heart.
