if your worried about this stuff its easy to talk to your mother or sister or relatives who have periods, or your gp if your worried about anything!x

Hey, Just to let you know, I didn't start my period until I was in year 10/11. So I was just as worried as you are right now but like the previous reply; there's nothing to worry about, it will happen when it needs to. Good luck x

do not worry - every one starts at different ages - my mother started when she was 16 years old ( in year 11) and I started when I was 12 - if you are really concerned about the colour of your discharge then see your gp - but every one statrs their periods at different times - if you are anxious about this you can also see your gp about this too - good luck

and I had no boobs what so ever (still v small... lol!) and she was an E cup by age 14!
But anyways, dont worry too much, the more you worry the more likey you are to not get your period, cuz your emotions effect your hormones!
But i would suggest wearing a little panty liner if you have brown discharge just incase you do start a proper period... itll save you the embarrassment of standing up and leaving a puddle on your chair... its happened to the best of us :-D

If your discharge is going brown, you may be starting your period. Don't worry too much about it, girls may not start until later as the previous poster mentioned. Just be sure to stay healthy, eat right, exercise a bit, and things will be just fine. You can have a chat with your mum or an older sister if you have one about this too.

Some girls dont get their period until they are 16 or even 18. So you not having yours yet does not mean that there must be something wrong with you or to worry about.
Have you developed boobs yet? If not then you are probably a late developer.

im not going to lie to you it shouldnt be brown but everyones different. dont worry everybodies body works differently ive heard of people not starting their period till they are 18. But to ease your mind definetly get to a doctor as soon as possible and dont be embarrassed it shows your mature.
hope this helps.

A
reader, anonymous, writes (30 May 2008): Nah seriously, year 9 may not be early but it ain't late either. I started mine in year 9, and believe me count it as a blessing! I know it feels like everyone else has probably started but there'll be plenty of others who start much later than that. Plus, brown discharge probably means you'll be starting soon... lucky you! ;) Take care xxx
