You should ask this question of the doctor/clinician provides you with the pills. Pills are all different as I understand it but they will have the information that relates to you. You are perfectly entitled to ask about any medication you're taking, so do ask.

Depends how often you do it. Yes I beleive that it can mess with your hormones. It is an artificial chemical pill that stops you from ovulating, when you stop it for the 7 days you get a 'withdrawal bleed' not a proper period. A lot of people take the pill to help with heavy peoriods. It does have it's benefits, but you must use it regularly to acheive maximum benefit and protection from pregnancy only. If you are using the pill for protection against pregnancy then stopping and starting the pill will definately reduce the effect.

i used to mess around with my pill when iwas younger mainly so i wouldnt be 'on' when i wante to stay at my boyfriends, i never noticed it afected my homones but i did end up pregnant so for that reason i wouldnt do it
