I had a friend that had the same problem, it was like she had the devil in her when she was due on and this went on for years she has finally got it sorted through repeated visits to her doctors and going through many different contraceptive pills.
Go to your gp and see if you can try something different.
Take care.xx.

Hi there, something I personally find helps me with PMT symptoms is a vitimin B complex tablet once a day....give it a go for a couple of months it may help, so does keeping a little reminder of when your period is due so you know when and why your suffering from "short fuse syndrome"....good luck

Hi,
I found that the pill helped me very much. Whilst I was taking it, I had no PMT symptoms at all. It isn’t for everyone though. I also find that Evening primrose oil helps with some of the symptoms now that I don’t take the pill. Your GP should be able to help you.

Hi
I used to, and sometimes still do, suffer from PMT. Its starting to ease off now, but it does depend whats going on in my life at the time. I have been to the docs a few times with this. I dont get violent but i get extremely down, stressed & anxious. I also get very possesive, if i am in a relationship that is. It starts a week before im due.
Nothing seems logical to me, and im convinced people hate me & are doing things behind my back. Once my period starts, within a day or so, things become clearer & i wonder what the hell i was thinking!
Its awful & i will be glad when i go through the menapause!
In the end my doc actually put me on Diazepam. Only for 5 days before my period is due though every month, because they are highly addictive.
Im not sure all docs would give you a script for that though.
They explained to me that there are various symptoms with pmt (or pms) ABC & D
A= anxiety B= Bloating C= cravings D= depression.
Most women wont get all of them, usually a couple. I never get the cravings or bloating. Mine are all psychology related.
It can also depend what contraception you are taking. I cant use any hormone related contraceptives anymore because things like the jab & the implants gave me horrendous pmt. I could of walked under a bus i was that messed up!
Go to your doc & try & get some advice. Things like evening primrose do nothing for me, i am hard core! hehe
Hope you get it sorted.
C xxxxx
