this_years_love agony auntsweety i know exactly what you are going through. the bit at the end about listening to his favourite songs and crying...i have been there. a while ago but i remember it like yesterday...and i know for every person who told me it wouldn't work i wanted it to ten times more. but believe me it does get so much better. the advise you have gotten thus far has been good-it would hurt even more to tell him. trust me on that one..and it would cause him a lot of grief as well whether he is interested or not.

keep your head up and be strong and try to focus on things that make you happy...your friends, sports, music...it helps!

feel free to message me if you'd like to chat i might be able to help you out:)

A male reader, anonymous, writes (2 October 2007):

the question you have to ask yourself is : do you love him enough to make him lose his job and go to jail.

Because if he has anything to do with an underage girl that is exactly what will happen to him. Of course he would deserve it.

Please, for the sake of your teacher keep your fantasies for him to yourself, otherwise it will be difficult for him to teach you and he will be forced to get you put into another class.

There's nothing wrong with fantasising about a teacher, we have all done it, but that's where it ends, if you tell him about your feelings he will be forced to take action and both of you will be very unhappy.

A male reader, rcn United States +, writes (1 October 2007):

rcn agony auntIt's common to have a crush on a teacher. You should look for someone your age. If not, I'm afraid you might hold on to something that's not going to happen, and miss out on what could.

Do you know what happens to teachers who have relationships with students? They loose their license to teach, and may face criminal charges. So it's this that you are holding on too.

It is OK to have the crush, but don't let your crush turn into an obsession. He's your teacher, he has the job of teaching you and it's your job to learn from what he's teaching. These stories come up so often, why do girls go for teachers and not students your own age? Kids ask you out but you're holding on to a guy who's twice your age.

What you need to do is realize all though he's attracted and you're (overly) attracted to him it would be wrong for either of you to cross over the boundaries of your professional teacher/student relationship.
