I suspect this is his revenge on you for what you did. But it shows you both up, really. You cheated with his brother. He's now cheating with an ex. how embarrassing must this be. End it, move on, never cheat again. He doesn't love you at all.

The fact that you have heard he is back with her is all indication that he still cares about her. And he also probably did it as revenge on you because of what you did.
A lot of guys act this way once the have been heartbroken.
