Well well well, i do feel your pain and anxiety. I'm 21, and have been terrified of needles all my life, since i can remember.
Actually i don't even know when the next needle i will need will be, but i worry about it now, crazy hey.
The last needles i had was when i was forced by my mum when i was in year 10 to have my rubella shot and i had to have tetanus at the same time! literally! They had to do it at the same visit so one shot wouldn't cancel out the effects of the other.
Anyway, im getting off track....i wanted to say that because share your fear...big time.......i've actually been considering seeing a clinical hypnotherapist to relieve my anxiety and reverse all that in my mind that makes me fear needles.
It can work wonders apparently and worth it.
So, maybe this could help you?
You're not alone in your fear........

Nobody like needles but the pain you are in is much worse than that tiny prick. Be a big girl and go see the doctor, you'll be soooo glad you did.

The only thing you can do is act mature and approach this with an all business attitude. Other people may make suggestions, but my suggestion comes from experience. I share your fear of needles, and I know how it feels. People just talking about them gives me goosebumps. When I see a scene in a movie with needles in it I get the chills and I have to look away. Just writing this is making me uncomfortable and any time I get a shot I would rather they have knocked me unconscious with a hammer before they did it.If the above is you, then all you can do is maintain the strongest face you have and get it over with. I remember with perfect clarity the three times I have had to get stuck with needles, and they all rate in the top 10 worst experiences of my life. You should check with your doctor, but it might be advisable to take a few muscle relaxing pills before you go so you don't tense up as much.

It sounds like you are really sick and very much need to see a doctor, I suggest strongly that you go asap and tell the doctor that you have a needle phobia, and Im sure it won't be as bad as you think it will be.Doctors are used to patients being terrified of needles and whoever you see will be able to put you at ease and will know how to calm your nerves.Logically you know that a needle prick is much less painful than all the painful symptoms you describe in your message, so take a deep brathe and be brave and go get it sorted as soon as you can!Good luck and do let us know how you get on! xx

I totally understand what your going through and the way i deal with having an injection is i have it in my hip...... wierd huh? well i find it alot more comfortable to have my injections down there, i dont know why but i hardly feel anything and i am so damn scared of them. Having the needle in your hip is so much better because you honestly i swear down dont feel anything, its so good. Now im getting better with my phobia of needles, minus the dentist one i still wont have that. But next time you do ask if you can have it in your hip. Oh and by the way i learnt to have it in my hip because i take the contraceptive needle every 3 months, thats how easy it is to have it there. Dont worry about it, just remember to ask if you can have it somewhere that you wont mind, i cant stand having them in my arms i have such sensitive skin there. You`ll be fine x

oh dear. I feel for you, I really do. Try to think of how the medicine will make you better. Sometimes it's necessary to hurt a bit before you get well.
When I was a little girl, my father always told me to look at the painting in the doctor's room when they stuck needles into me. That way I didn't feel the pain too badly. You're probably doing the same thing, looking at anything except the needle.
I try to think about strawberry cake, Chinese dragons and little bunnies (or other things that make me happy).
Maybe you can take a friend with you, it will perhaps make you feel more courageous. I hope you'll get your visit over with quickly and get well soon
*hug*
