Vitamin C is essential for a good immune system. So lots of strawberries and oranges for you. Also, you might want to consider buying some of that hand sanitising spray. You just spray it on your hands and rub them together until it's dried off. It kills 99% of everything that is on your hands so would help with germs that are being spread that way.Maybe even offer it your friends casually before you eat or after you've been to the loo.Get some vitamin supplements too and take one of those everyday. If you're still getting them regularly then you might want to consider a trip to the doctors, just for a healthcheck to make sure your immune system is working as it should be. Good luck :)

Just make sure you take iron and vitamins every day! Make sure your diet is healthy and cover your mouth with a scarf if someone starts to cough/sneeze or on public transport as thats one of the worst places for it. Wash your hands as much as possible with an anti bacterial gel and just keep good care of yourself!

BlondeBabe x is verified as being by the original poster of the questionthe surgical masks don't work and I would look seirously weird walking around wearing one of them.
Avoiding them doesn't work believe me I have tried.

Wear a surgical face mask, and tell them to cough and sneeze into a tissue, and then bin it and wash their hands.
You can also buy anti-virus nasal sprays in boots, which are a bit of a con but it may help, also buy a alcohol based hand rub for whenever you touch some one.

I have to disagree with Gina on this one, there is no scientific link between being cold and catching one, in fact the cold virus prefers a warm moist atmosphere.
I'm going to post a link here it's about STIs but the infection process is the same, so if you know how an infection works you know how to stop it.

I think that you need to make sure your room is clean, I don't mean just tidy but actually dusted and hoovered often, and wash your hands at every opportunity this will reduce your chance of infection by about half.

Have you considered that this seasonal cold you are getting is possibly an allergy like hay fever?
Stay fit and healthy, don't smoke, drink plenty of water and avoid binge drinking. Eat plenty of fruit and veg.
You could also speak to your doctor or pharmacist to see if this is actually allergy based and get the relevant medicine.

Vitamins and minerals.
Eat oranges to get vitamin C as that is really important for immune systems.
If you smoke or drink or eat lots of fatty junk food then that can make you worse.
Basically, if you act in a healthy way you will stay healthy.
Good Luck!! xx
