We're messed up people, too. :) Take everything with a grain of salt and remember that you are the one who ultimately has to decide whether the questions (and the answers) are worthwhile.2) Be concise - Long-winded questions that detail every argument, every complaint, and every incident are just going to make people stop reading. Put your point right up front, then explain your situation. If you can explain your problem to a radio talk show host without him cutting you off, you're in good shape.3) Grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization - A question that can be easily understood is going to get more readers and more answers than one that isn't. Keep in mind that you're typing, not speaking, and that written english is different than spoken. A good way to proofread is to go get a drink, then come back and read your post before submitting it. If anything looks or sounds weird to you, you can be sure it will be weird to your readers, as well.Keep these things in mind, and you'll have a question better prepared to get an answer. Excellent tips Bytex, especially about the punctuation and grammar and the proof reading the question afterwards. Good job!
