I think it's marvelous and to be revelled in. I'm happy to sleep in the spot -- if I wake up sticking to the sheets I know I've had a great night.

A towel can be a smart thing to have nearby, but I normally just use tissues. Then I place some tissues between my legs and I'm all set to cuddle. It could still be sticky, but you can shower/clean up together afterwards. I always get sticky unless it's a quicky, I can't stay away from that. Some times if there's no tissues by the bed I grab either his or my dirty undies and have them between my legs instead. Maybe it looks weird, but hey, sex isn't as "perfect" as in the movies where they cuddle right after sex completely sweat and sperm free.
I happen to think the condom offers a problem too after sex because you usually want to get rid of it right away, which results in having to get up to throw it (do not want used condoms on the floor!). A used condom is uncomfortable against the skin... eeww... floppy...

we just cuddle till it's time to wash up... then we wash up together... we even share the towel...
if you want to cuddle before the wash up put a towel under you...
and we don't use tissues.. to many pieces of lint left about.

Just to check, when you say unprotected you either mean another form of birth control of you're trying for a baby right?
Anyways, what me and my partner did/do is that we buy really cheap crappy towels and just keep them near the bed, then grab it as soon as you're done. Just bunch it up between your legs for a bit and it should stop the mess until you can properly get to the bathroom.
