You've been very lucky; if I were you, I would start using some form of contraception.

There is a word to describe couples the only use the pull out method.
The word is: Parents

A friend who is a doctor said he so often hears the words, 'it wasn't planned', when girl arrives pregnant for her first visit to him. And he assures each girl that most babies are unplanned, as a result of ineffective methods of birth control resulting in
Unprotected sex, based on his years being a doctor.

There is a chance of getting pregnant every time you have sex, no contraceptive method is 100% effective. But using two methods will greatly decrease the chances.
One point to note however is that there are many fertile couples that try years to have children and never get pregnant. At the end of the day, it only takes one sperm to enter one egg and all statistics and stuff go out the door.
It could be just as likely that one or both of you is unable to conceive.

Is there any chance you one of you could have fertility problems? I've heard if you go that long using the pullout method without pregnancy, theres a chance that one of you could be infertile.

Im sorry for all these posts, but I have one more thing to add in: miscarriages. You could have been pregnant and then had an early miscarriage without knowing it. They can be misinterpreted as a very strong menstruation, or irregular menstruation.
I base a lot of this argumentation on a friend of mine who had unprotected sex for years, didn't get pregnant, but had a miscarriage without even knowing she was pregnant, then thought she was unable to conceive, and now she's got two kids already, one she claims she got while she had a spiral.

Perhaps we should also add in some statistics that say how much of a chance you have at getting pregnant if you do NOT pull out, but have unprotected sex. This is from parenttime.com:
"Most women of childbearing age, if they are having regular, unprotected sex, have a 20-40% chance of getting pregnant in each cycle."
So as you see it's not that far away from the chances of falling pregnant while using the pull out method! Here's some more numbers from the same site:
"Accumulated over the course of six months, your chances of getting pregnant are very good indeed. Your age also has a bearing on how long it takes to conceive. Women under 25 years of age have a 96% chance of getting pregnant within a year of trying. Women age 26-34 have an 86% chance, and women 36-44 have a 78% chance of getting pregnant within a year."

Well...I dont think you should trust that pull-out stuffs too much. I know that you've been using that method for about a year and you still haven't got pregnant. which is very lucky (unless you want to get pregnant!) I think you and your partner should try to use protection or go on a pill to be on the safe side. It's not all about gettin pregnant but its also about STIs and all those horrible stuffs out there!! x

Actually, I sort of disagree. According to Planned Parenthood, the pull out method is 96% effective if done correctly.
However, their same statistic shows that if it's NOT done correctly, then you have a 27% chance of getting pregnant. Yuck.
That is the main failing of the pull-out method. It requires a TON of control and trust. Every instinct in a man during sex is to NOT pull out. When he does pull out, especially a young man has a hard time pulling out in time. If he stays in a split second too long, even one pulse, and you're gonna be a mom.
Also, even though in pre-ejaculate fluid there is no sperm in it, there could still be sperm left over from a previous ejaculation. That means, if your boyfriend had a warm-up solo run before meeting you, and then you decide to have sex and he hasn't used the restroom, you're getting the residual sperm from his solo efforts.
As young as you are and I assume that he is, I very strongly suggest using a better and more effective form of birth control. As any guy on here can attest, without years of practice and enormous control, pulling out is REALLY difficult. Ask the guys whose condom breaks during sex how hard it is to stop.

A

The pull out method is not reliable at all.
You have been very lucky so far but it's a huge risk. If you are having sex you should know about these things before you start a sexual relationship.

As for how large your chances are to conceive I suggest you read up on how to increase your chance of conceiving. It is mostly about the time of the month etc. You might not the pregnant yet because you haven't has sex at the right time of the month. And besides, even if you try for a baby it can take up to a year to conceive.
You're just lucky you're not pregnant yet. Decide what you want, a kid or not, and either start using protection or talk about becoming parents and make a full hearted attempt.

How much of a chance? More or less the same as if he doesn't pull out. If you two are fertile together, basically 100% given enough time.

The pull out method is as effective as blowing on the dice before you throw.
It's pure luck if it works or not.
It doesn't even have to mean anything for your abilities to conceive.
