It loses the smoothness after only 1-2 days, so doesn't it get uncomfortable for your partner with the stubble? Shaving the stubble creates hell for me. I'm in a relationship now which makes this relevant for me now :/

I used to shave every single time I was in the shower and it hurt like hell as we'll as gave me red bumps. Which ended up looking awful and probably worse than hair does, lol. I eventually just started shaving down there once a week, I shave it all completely. Doesnt hurt at all and doesn't get too hairy or gross in just a week's time, husband sure doesn't mind at all. If you have hair that grows in the bikini line that you see outside of underwear then you can shave that more frequently. Or just start waxing. I've never done it, thought I would've but after finding this method works for me and my husband is happy then I don't see the point in paying money and getting a painful uncomfortable wax. Men don't mind a little hair so don't be afraid to let it grow if it's too painful to shave. Just don't get a bush or anything.

I had a difficult time too. I used to shave everyother day and would get the worst razor burn. I have trouble waxing myself and it gets expensive and to me is a bit embarressing to go out and get it done. The creams can cause terrible chemical burns and irritation/redness. But then if you follow the directions ha! Doesnt always get it off, sometimes it thins it a little. I end up shaving every 2 to 3 days and it prevents the razor burn. Oh and dont shave down there with a new razor that you havent at least shaved your legs with. Its much easier to cut yourself or get razor burn. I hope that helps! Good luck.

I'm a guy who shaves, and I do it every other day. It sucks initially but it gets much easier to shave the stubble after a few weeks.

person12345 gave the right suggestion. but if you are specific about shaving then keep the frequency of shave in high. I think then there are hair removers, creams, may be other techniques but all will have side effects.
trimming is healthy as it won't create dark patch also.

After going through a phase of shaving, I've decided that just keeping it trimmed short whilst shaving the bits which would come through the sides of underwear, is a LOT better, more comfy and doesn't hurt. Don't shave just to please a guy. :)

You could just stop removing all your pubic hair and keep it neatly trimmed instead. That's what I do, it's much softer that way. The stubble gave him rashes.

I find waxing is much better. the regrowth is softer and it tends to thin out the more you wax...
I do shave my arms and legs and I just do that EVERY time I'm in the shower.
IF you must shave, do it in the shower and use hair conditioner as shave cream...

yes it can be torture, i have to do mine every 2 days too, but if you use creams (a tiny little) it does work... and warm water on the area... dabbing a little heated water there also prevents growback (i have found)

Couple of options, either you let it grow and get it waxed (lasts longer in theory) or you continue to shave or even use creams. Be careful about using creams around your bikini line, as the skin is very sensitive there.
