Why do you feel you need to get over him? Why don't you ask your best friend to drop a few hints to her brother to see whether he likes you too? If he does then she hints that you also like him, if he doesn't see you as girlfriend materiel then she doesn't say a thing to him about you liking him but at least you'll know one way or the other and can move on and keep busy.
Crushes don't last long, they're temporary and fleeting so it won't be long (even if you don't believe it now) before someone else comes along that IS obtainable and who likes you too!

Crush: a strong but temporary attraction for someone
That's the definition. It hurts like heck, it's one of the most intense attractions you'll ever feel. Trying to talk yourself out of having one ....doesn't work. You can rationalize all about how he's wrong for you, but it just doesnt help. The only thing that helps to get over a crush is time or being hurt by him/her. Ex. Your crush finds a g/f, etc.
You'll get over it and you'll be fine. Just try to keep your cool while you have it...
