No, he can’t keep on telling you that and not doing anything about it.I think he's saying what he knows you want to hear so that you’ll never get over him.I think you should be brave and not listen to what his got to say because he's lying. He just wants to know that if he did say "come back" that you would jump at the chance. But you’re too good for that. Tell him you're not joking anymore do want to get back together. If he makes up excuses then you’ll have to move on and put him behind you.But do keep in mind that it’s not going to be easy.If you need to talk send me an email.

The easiest and hardest thing to do at the same time is to move on, but it really will do you good in your situation. The problem here is that he's told you that he intends to come back and you've replayed that over and over again in your mind, and so you think he will. Im not denying that he will eventually, but the question is, are you willing to sit around and wait to find out how long it'll take for him to come to his senses? Do you really have the patience to wait another 5, 10 years or even more just to see if he's actually going to keep his word or not? I understand that you love him, but love is a two way thing. If there is no reciprocation on his part, the only one going to get hurt here if you continue to hang on to him is yourself.
I suggest you cut all contact with him. Make it known to him that he is no more needed in your life and that you're moving on with or without him. This could be a blessing in disguise though, it could be a way to trigger his feelings for you (if he still has any), as you are giving him an ultimatum. But ask yourself if he really is worth all the hassle at the end of the day. Lets see this from a different perspective, if a man really wants a woman, you'll be sure the woman neednt do the chasing! You deserve better so start believing it!
