But the problem is, I have to ask my dad. Not a mom. How do I do this? I'm daddy's baby girl. He can barley take that I said I'm not going to be one of those girls who live at home until they're thirty.

If you want a sex toy, you need to wait until you are old enough to get it on your own.
In the meantime, take off the shower head and use the concentrated water pressure for stimulation of the clitoris. It works about 10 times better than any toy anyways.

I don’t think your dad would be overly impressed if you asked him to purchase this for you. If you feel like you’re ready for something like this then surely you’re old enough to buy it yourself?

A sex toy is a very intimate NON essential. It's totally inappropriate to ask someone else to buy for you, especially a parent or guardian. It's not their job to finance your orgasms.
Totally offside.

Buy your own. No, seriously. You don't ask parents for this kind of toy. You earn money and get your own. Also, the majority of people your age ARE still virgins. Some lie and pretend they aren't, while others don't want to share because of judgement. Only a minority have actually had sex by your age and a large number wish they hadn't.
As a side note, please don't watch porn yet and stop if you already do - it's incredibly unrealistic and breeds skewed views of real sex.

Why in the name of heaven do you need to ask your dad for a sex toy? If you have a job use your own money. If don’t have a job get one or start babysitting to earn money. When you have the money . Go to the grocery store buy yourself an Amazon gift card go to Amazon and buy your own sex toy.

Why do you need a sex toy at your age?
You got TWO good hands and 10 fingers (I presume)...
I agree with Aunty BimBim, ADULTS own and use sex toys and they BUY their own. Online or in a store.
I have 3 girls and I wouldn't buy ANY of my girls a toy. That is THEIR business if they want one at some point. It's ON them to purchase one.
TBH, you don't NEED a sex toy to masturbate. People have been doing that for immemorial with just a hand/fingers.
And there is nothing wrong with being a virgin even if most of your peers aren't.

Not sure, in your country, if you can buy one from an adult store being 17 so why not just buy one from the internet. Maybe you have inquisitive parents who might just ask what it is when it gets delivered so maybe just get it sent to the post office for collection, but NO WAY ask either your mum or dad- thats just a bridge of no return

Was going to add: are you actively TRYING to shock him? To demonstrate to him you are growing up? If you are wanting to show him you are growing up, go out and get a job and buy your own toys.

This is really one of those posts that I read and wonder if this is a wind-up.
Giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you are asking seriously, I have to agree with the other aunts and say this is DEFINITELY NOT a conversation to have with your father.
I totally get that you are at an age where you are interested in sex and wanting to experiment. However, asking your DAD to buy you a sex toy is just totally unacceptable.
I do wonder what sort of relationship you have with your father that you would even consider asking this.

If your dad can't handle you saying you aren't going to live at home forever I highly doubt he will take it well that you want a sex toy. I'd wager a guess he will totally freak out. I agree with Aunty BimBam this would be an extremely uncomfortable discussion for most parents..I wouldn't do it. Your best bet is to get a job and buy it yourself. Save yourself and your father the embarrassment. Its very cringy...

Owning sex toys is an adult pastime, adults purchase their own sex toys. Asking your father to buy you a sex toy is just yech and ewww.
If you want a sex toy get a job and buy your own.
