my husband and I tried anal for the first time about a month ago. He says he has always liked it.. it was my first time and I really didn't. I was told it is very dangerous, and is a no no. I have seen it done in movies and jesus, those people look like it's nothing to it.. is there a way to make it feel better? Not so damn painful, or could it be, he is just too much for me?

to clear up some earlier comments...

supposedly it can be enjoyable for the woman as well but you should really find a woman who claims this is true.

guys claiming anal penetration as enjoyable means nothing as that can result from stimulating the prostate gland (it actually feels kinda nice, i still wouldn't want anything bigger than a finger going up there)

things to be concerned about however is bacteria. you are very likely to damage the tissue when doing this which can lead to really really easy spread of germs which tend to be pretty heavily present in the anus (read about explanations for the appendix if you are really interested). hence why you might use antibacterial soap after using the bathroom. even if you are both completely monogamous, you could contract a nasty bug.

askJAY agony auntsis. i would feel like such a bastard asking my girlfriend if i could stick anything up her bum!!!! my lord!!!!

i may be naive and narrow minded, but the anus seems made to excrete waste. i am not in the least bit religious, but i think anal sex is a perversion of healthy normality. you will just get piles.

"Anal is sex is unpleasant and painful. That's all there is to it."

one of the most narrow views i have read without a doubt.

i am a man and i love to anally masturbate to which i use many toys and yes I've even tried a cucumber!

i have also seen a HUUUGE amount of anal porn and where a lot of actors make it seem like they are enjoying it there are many that make it look like the most painful thing in the world. that is because it can be both and some actresses in the porn industry genuinely love anal sex and get a big thrill from it, just as any man can.

tips for you though: take your time and experiment with toys and plenty of lube. i started out quite young and only because i get used to the feeling can i try bigger things, your man may be too big for you but if you get used to it or practice it more often, with or without him then it could become very pleasurable for you and even more for him.

SoftlyCaress agony auntWell this is kinda hard to answer but there some stuff you get at the adult toy store called anal eez and it does help with the pain but I think the most important thing is to relax and tell your man to take it slow ..Makes it more enjoyable for both .Not really into it but ex was and that is how i conquered it so give it a try and see what then if you cant take it he will know atleast you tried ..
