reader, anonymous, writes (2 March 2008): i think that sometimes, we as girls tend to be modest, even when we feel deep down that we did a good job :P where as men boast and are arrogant, although they actually havent done as good as they think. im talking in general here, using an example sometimes when ive just completed a piece of artwork, i know deep down that it's good because we all have a personal opinion on our work, dont we? but i hardly ever admit to it being good, i sometimes say its not good although i dont believe it-lol.
so maybe you were just seing his reaction and subconsciously undermining yourself, sounds to me as though he enjoyed it for sure, he came and he was breathing heavily, guys are very impassive anyway it's really hard to read them sometimes but believe me(and everyone else) you did a good job for sure.
