Yeah. At the end of the year, maybe a small gift and a thankyou note.
Or what I did once, was I wrote a paper and in it, I talked breifly about my favourite teacher and how inspirational she was to me, and the teacher for which the paper was, told the teacher I wrote about. You can just include it in one of his.
Or, go up to him and say "Hey, sometimes I get frustrated because you correct me so much, but I just wanted to let you know not to take it personally, because you have actually really helped me, so thank you."
There's nothign wrong with being direct, and it's probably easiest.

I agree with "CaringGuy" - a card is a great idea. In my final year of school i wrote massive letters to the teachers who had helped me most, and stuck them inside normal christmas cards (we have a different school year), and gave them a photo frame of a picture of the two of us together.. I even made two of them cry, they appreciated it so much! You can't go wrong with it.

Give him a thank you card. Simple and shows your gratitude. X

at the end of the year, why don't you just give him a card saying thank you and that he's been a great help. That's what I did with a teacher that helped me.
