Hello everyone,

I've been broken up with my last girlfriend for about a month now. We had a relationship for somehwhat more than a year.

Her reason to break up with me was because I was being immature, although im 18 and starting my first year as a psychology student at the university. I assumed that she was somehwat jealouse, she always worked hard at school and never scored good grades when i just slacked my way trough highschool and always had fine grades.

Anyway, Im still obsessed with checking her social networking profiles on internet, what shes doing, who shes seeing, etc, etc. I recently found out that shes dating this guy whos a lot younger than me and probably the biggest douchebag ive ever known. But I still seem to care, and every time I check her networkig profiles I get very depressed and it ruins my whole day.

Ive tried to stop looking at it but I could use some advice how to keep up the 'not looking.' Because I get a very strong urge to have a peek, Might be best to compare it with craving for a cigarette, atleast it feels the same for me.

If anyone wants to share their opinion or help me out, Please do so :)

Thanks guys,

Love

caddy_girl10 agony auntI think your inlove with her, if I was you I would tell her exactly how you feel, but if not then you could go out with friends and maybe meet another girl, of just keep yourself busy to where you don't have the urge to look on it. Find something else you like to do on the networking site, talk to friends, do anything. If you want more advice or just to talk message me :)

applebite8821 agony auntHey, you're not alone...I also have the same obsession with my ex that I find it so hard to stop.

But right now, I seem to be succeeding not looking at it. How do I do that? Everytime I have the urge to go to his page, I remember what he has done to me. I think of his infidelity and the girls he just added there. How could he be so lucky to have me peering at his page like he is Brad Pitt or something? He is not worth my attention at all. I am prettier than the girls on his list, I can attest to that. So it means he is being pathetic. I am sure he wont find another one like me.

And then with a deep breath, I close the window where I usually type his username or email adress. I do this everytime and I feel better actually. I don't know if this will help you, but for me it deed.

Just think that your ex is with someone else now..what can you get by checking on her page? Heart ache! Remember that she lost you. She will never find any other guy like you. Say that to yourself over and over and just close the window with a one big gulp or deep breath. You will get used to this.

hello u!!

I am British & have no idea what a douchebag is bit it's sounds painful?? Lol

Right firstly let me say, I am in my thirtys so a bit olde than you but in my life I have found us ladies always want what we can't have, and we lie sometimes to save face & too not hurt or affend!! Chances r she didn't feel

The same connection u felt too her? It happens.. It hurts like fxxk the first few times it happens, u feel broken hearted & like u will never feel normal again bit u do & believe me mutal love & respect in a relationship is the best feeling in the world & u will meet someone who is deserving of u?

Lastly I left my husband 8 years ago & when I did he fell to bits.. Stalked me, constantly called me & checked up on me & I just hated him more & more each day & thought he was a sad loser, he then picked himself up, lost weight got a tan brought new clothes changed jobs etc etc & started going out & having a good time, it has ended up with me being the one who now thinks "god why did I dump him" cause he is no longer a sap, he is in control & that's sexy in a man when he is conferdante in himself.. So switch that pc off, go get some new clothes/ haircut & go out & have a life & fun & I promise u she will be the one looking up your facebook pictures!!

Go out with your new student friends and have fun and meet new women (be a gent though, don't use them)! Whenever you feel like you want to check up on her, find something else to do. Like going to a gym? Do something physical that you have to put your mind on. Don't sit around by the computer all night.
