Once you know this then you should try and work out if she feels the same way for you.. or things could be awkward. Does she show any signs of liking you back or anything?

If you're not already out you could try coming out to her first, then leave it a few days for her to get her head around that before you say anything else. It'll also have the added advantage that if she does like girls she's more likely to tell you because she'll know that you'll be okay with it. Hope it works out xxx

This depends somewhat. Do you know if your friend is attracted to women at all?Failing that, do you know that she's tolerant of girls who like girls?If at least one of those is yes, then just ask, "Would you like to go out to the movies?" or whatever. Pretty much the same way you'd ask a boy out.If you're not at least certain that she's okay with homosexuality, you might find that out first.
