right im not sure weather this is a relationship question or a fashion question lol. anyway i was talking to this lad and we were arranging to meet..he said "this wolud b easier if you were ma g/f but no offence bt ur such a geek...chav it up a bit and ou might av a chance" i was quite offended by that as i am already quite chavvy minus the trakkis. so i suopse my question is...how much aboout myself should i change? and how can i change to be more chavvy? x x x

(moderator: "Chav" is a UK derogatory slang term read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chav)

TELLULAH agony auntI cant believe anyone would want to be a chav in the first place. Dont go down that road, they are a fashion no-no. I class them the same as clown's and i dont like those either. Its not big and its not clever X

Chavs are scum. Notice how they can't even type in English. Don't even bother with them love, find a guy with intelligence and who is sincere. You will be much better off for it.

Hah!

He's The Geek! Why Should You Change For Him?(Sorry I'm Probably About To Write The Same As Evryone Up There But I Havent Read Them)

Right So First Of All Chavs SUCK! Don't Be A Chav!

Second Of All Don't Change For Anyone, If He Can't Already See How Amazing You Are There's No Point!

Think About It This Way In 15 Years Time When You Are A Chav (This Is If U Did Change Not That You Will Be A Chav Or Anything!) You'll Be Slaving Behind The Counter Of Macdonalds Wishing You Hadn't Changed And This Boy Will Be Long Gone.

So Put Up With The Names From Him- They're Not Gonna Last Forever And DON'T CHANGE FOR ANYONE WHO ISN'T WILLING TO CHANGE FOR YOU!

Xx Peace Out!

David Lewis agony auntI hate chavs.

Never change for a guy, especially when it's a change for the worse. He sounds like a right balloon. Forget him and find someone who likes you for you. You deserve better.

Wow, this is no joke! But I'm laughing cuz it's so typical of a general teenager - at least tell me u are. However, enough of the belittling and to the 'advice'...

Without having a picture of yourself here, it would be difficult to say what you should do to change yourself, but geez, if you must change yourself to look like everyone else, then I guess all you have to do is look at everyone else who take on the trend of Chavs right? [wink]

A female reader, Dani :) United Kingdom +, writes (9 November 2006):

I totally agree with Yos, chav's are not attractive at all, and why change to be with some lad who is only tryin to mould you?? and think of this... when your older and lookin through photo's of you now, would you rather have an individual look, or that ASBO many people strive to have these days in tracksuits and heavy gold jewellery? its not attractive and you'll probably be embarased when your older. sorry if ive went off the subject, just don't change to please a boy, hes not worth it!!

A female reader, anonymous, writes (9 November 2006):

Hey.

This guy wants you to change for him and if you want to then that's up to you. But do you really want to go out with a guy who has basically said 'I'll go out with you when you change to suit my girlfriend type more'.

Think about it, do you want to go out with a guy that wants you to change for him? If he's like that now chances are he'd be dominant in a relationship, not good.

It's not a choice I would make, there's other fish in the sea and you're beautiful the way you are Hun XxXxX

Don't change for some guy who you'll probably go out with for a few weeks then dump. Find someone else who will like you for you, not the style you have.

Chavs are ugly anyway x

Simple answer is never change to make someone like you. He doesn't want you for you, he wants you if you fits a certain image. What happens when he changes his mind again? Forget him. Meet some geek guys ;)

A male reader, Yos Netherlands +, writes (9 November 2006):

Yos agony auntOh no! Geek girls are 100 times more sexy than Chavs. Really. Don't do something silly like that because some guy (probably clueless) tells you what to do.

Geek = individualistic, smart, interesting, good conversation, bright future

Chav = ummm... juvenile detention centre?

Besides, any guy who says you need to change in order for him to date you isn't worth it. Find a guy who likes you for who you are. Don't compromise on that, it's a slippery slope at the end of which you'll find yourself living your life how other people want you to live... which is miserable (trust me).
