He has slowly stopped making any effort with me and told me he is just 'busy'. How do I ask him what is going on?

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So I've been seeing this guy for about a month. At first he was all into me telling me how beautiful I was and how he couldn't wait to spend more time with me. We had sex (yes I know it was stupid) bit he reassured me nothing would change in the way he saw me. After that contact with us slowly decreased and he stopped trying to make plans to see me but would still talk to me on a normal basis. After getting so many mixed signals last week I asked him if he was still interested or if I did something wrong and he said not at all and he was just busy. I saw him the other day and everything was normal but he still hasn't texted or called me. I'm so confused and I want to ask him what the situation is but I don't know how to word it. Help please!

angelDlite agony auntsorry it sounds like this guy sweet talked you into bed then lost interest when he had won his prize. it happens a lot. don't feel bad, you are not 'stupid' you just trusted someone who turned out to not deserve it. see this as a life lesson. be more careful next time. wait until are as sure as you can be that a guy is not playing you. get on with your life and leave him alone coz if he thinks he can continue to use you - believe me - that's exactly what he will do!

k_c100 agony auntWell that does prove he is a busy man - but generally unless you are unemployed or a student EVERYONE is busy. If a man really likes you, he will make the effort - no matter what.

Like you said yourself, before you had sex with him, he couldnt wait to see more of you and was frequently in contact with you. So somehow when you first met him, he did have the time. And now he has had sex with you, somehow he suddenly doesnt even have time to text?!

I know its not what you want to hear, but he has simply used you for sex and lost interest. Try not to spend too much longer thinking about him or making excuses for him, regardless of his job or kids if he wanted to he could make time for you. Sending a simple text message takes 30 seconds, maybe 1 minute max - if he cant spare a minute for you in his day then he really isnt interested.

Does it change anything that he has a daughter and works 6 days a week from 2 am to 3pm?

Tom Obler agony auntFrom what I have read here, it seems he had sex and then moved on. He seemed fine until then but then started to withdraw. Unfortunately, I am afraid you are going to just have to accept that this guy is not for you. Just let things go now.

The best thing you can do is to leave him. It will either show him what he is missing or it will stop him from wasting anymore of your precious time. Bite the bullet!!!

k_c100 agony auntI dont think you need to ask him, it is pretty obvious what is going on. He had sex with you then his interest faded, and he is letting you down slowly & gently.

Men are crap at saying "sorry I'm just not that into you" so instead the most common excuse in the book comes out "I'm just busy at the moment". I can tell you now, he is going to be busy forever. Men are pretty pathetic when it comes to being honest and telling girls how they feel, they would rather take the easy route out and slowly fade away from the girl until one day she simply never hears from him again. Yes it is cowardly, and yes it is pretty awful - but a lot of men are this way unfortunately.

Cut your losses and move on - he is not interested he is just too much of a coward to tell you that. Dont text him anymore and dont expect to see him again, he used you for sex and now he is not bothered about you.

Dont waste anymore time on him, he is not worth it.

I hope this helps and good luck!
