He is leaving you to do the accounts and then has a go at you when you muck up. He doesn't sound too considerate and the spite causes some concern.
You simply aren't going to get any further towards finding any solution unless you are BOTH willing to talk to each other.
Going would only be the last resort once every other approach has been exhausted. Just make sure every available avenue has been explored before you answer this terminal question regarding what may be left of your relationship.

Why is he leaving all the finances up to you? He really has to shoulder some of the blame for them if he hasnt had anything to do with them.Your a team, he should be helping you sort this out.Do you stay or go?
