A female United Kingdom age 51-59, anonymous writes:

Hi. Am married, 38 w/3 children.

Have always dealt with the finances at home..made a mess of them over and over again but husband never helps, he just gets really mad and spiteful so it's now unbearable.

Hasn't spoken to me, eaten with me or even sat in the same room for 4 days now.

He can't look at me and snarls when I speak to him.

I have always loved him.

Do I stay or go??

A male reader, Uncle Trev United Kingdom +, writes (29 July 2007):

He is leaving you to do the accounts and then has a go at you when you muck up. He doesn't sound too considerate and the spite causes some concern.

You simply aren't going to get any further towards finding any solution unless you are BOTH willing to talk to each other.

Going would only be the last resort once every other approach has been exhausted. Just make sure every available avenue has been explored before you answer this terminal question regarding what may be left of your relationship.

A female reader, hlskitten United Kingdom +, writes (29 July 2007):

hlskitten agony auntWhy is he leaving all the finances up to you? He really has to shoulder some of the blame for them if he hasnt had anything to do with them.

Your a team, he should be helping you sort this out.

Do you stay or go? Well, hopefully you can both communicate and avoid it getting to that point.

Good luck.
