Me and my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years have just started having sex this year. With my past boyfriend(s), I didn't have sex.My boyfriend Im with now seems to think I lost my virginity way before me and him started going together just because my "cherry" has not been popped. My now boyfriend is the only one I have dont it with. He is the one who took my virginity. But he seems to think just because my cherry has not been popped, I had lost my virginity before he came along. How can I get him to understand? He thinks I am lying when we talk about my "virginity" just because I didn't bleed the first time we did it.So far, we've done it like 12 times and I he has not popped my cherry yet.

ok babe, to get him to believe you tell him that you've never had the expierence and want to now finally try and tell him "i sware, i've never had sex but i plan my first time will be with you" that easy.

Not everyone has a hymen. I am 26 and still a virgin. I was born without a hymen. WhenI was young my dr was concerned and I think they had to investigate to see if I had been molested or something, of course which was not the case...but that's how my mother found out that my two sisters and I were born without hymens. So there will be no bleeding when when I get married and finally have sex for the first time. Some women have very small hymen that don't tear when having sex. I think your bf might have been a little obsessed w/ thinking he was your first. If you weren't his first then he should just get over himself!

Firstly - your boyfriend sounds like an ass! For God sake can't he just be grateful that your having sex with him?

Secondly, not everyone bleeds the first time they have sex.

Thirdly, he should just take your word for it and not be making it an issue.

Well, first off, stop trying to convince him that you are not lying. Cause he is being very condescending. You simply tell him that if he doesn't want to believe you that is his problem and that you will not tolerate his suspisions of you any longer. If he doesn't trust you then he shouldn't be with you. Tell him that losing your virginity was supposed to be something very special and he just ruined it.

There is probably a teen health website that will have it as a FACT for your boyfriend. But as stated before, the "cherry being popped" is your hymen being torn. This can happen by using tampons, riding a horse or as already said riding a bike.

I was a virgin before I did it with my husband and I never had bleeding either.

rcn agony auntThe hymen doesn't always pop as in what people seem to think. It depends on the person. Not all first times are the same.

A reader, anonymous, writes (15 November 2007):

The bleeding has to do with tearing of your hymen, and this can happen not only with intercourse. My guess is that perhaps your hymen has already been broken before the actual intercourse. Even riding a bike can cause a tear of the hymen.
