Thats probably because you feel you need a confidence boost after your ex finished it. But just because a guy sleeps with you, doesn't mean they 'like' you and think you're great. Harsh but true i'm afraid. Guys and girls will sleep with people just for the sex. And that alone.
Sucks i know, but its life. Dont sell yourself short.
Go out, have fun, enjoy your job, build your self asteem without relying on anyone else to do it. Realise you are a unique human being, and in time you will meet someone new and date them for all the right reasons. And sleep with them for all the right reasons too!

 What your feeling is natural because you miss "the physical contact", however my advice to you would be keep it as a feeling don't go out and do it because it won't make you feel any better, by doing this you will still feel lonely at the end of the day when all the guys who just want one thing leave after they have got it. You mentioned you don't want to do it, then don't because no good will come out of it. As they say time is a healer, give it time yeah :) good luck ;)
