reader, anonymous, writes (26 November 2010): Yes, it's completely true but only as an idiom that tries to imbue the concept of being able to let go of someone and moving on. It's in 90% of cases the best course of action in my experience. The other 10% are worth fighting for, for a while, but then you always have to let go.
