Dont get married so young. Stay together, but dont get married.

Right now it seems so simple.. we love each other, what else could there be?

Wait until you go to college and he's stressed and you're stressed and you cant spend time with each other. Or you cant even go to the same schools in the same area. And then you graduate and you get a job, hopefully for you a good one.But if not, you might be working 11 hours a day, come home stressed, etc.

I'm sure you love each other, but marriage isnt really about love, its about determination. Until you know for sure how he and you react to stress, and I mean LIFE stress, not, I'm 16 years old and have too much work to do in my highschool classes stress, then decide to get married.

Emzy1591 agony auntMy friend got married at 18, 3 years later shes divorced after lieing and cheating due to unhappyness.

My advice would be dont get engaged. You 16-17 you still have your whole life ahead of you, college, univeristy, work, your going to meet so many new guys who are even more perfect and make you even happier than ur current boyfriend. However you cant get involved because ur married. Plus if things went down the drain its not as simple to say ok we'll just call it off. You have to get a divorce which requires lawyers etc. Is it all really worth the effort where if things go wrong now you can just go your seperate ways? Stay with your boyfriend by all means, it might last years. But wait until you've lived and if ur still with your boyfriend then get engaged.

Susan Strict agony auntCongratulations.

I ought to say that the odds are against it. Few people who start a relationship as young as you are manage to make it last...

Hey! Don't take any notice! It's wonderful. Grab it with everything you've got and MAKE it work. Show everyone else (me too) that you have found real love that will last forever.
